EMA

Emergency Management Agency

Alabama’s Emergency Management Agency network is a combination of your Local, State and Federal governments working together in partnership with local volunteers and businesses, to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from all hazards that affect a jurisdiction.

The EMAs of Calhoun, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, St. Clair and Talladega Counties represent the local EMA offices that are tasked with the responsibility for coordination and mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery efforts to protect the lives and property of the citizens that live, work and attend school in the areas.

In addition to the many natural hazards that impact communities, such as tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, floods, winter storms, wildfires and drought, there are other man made and technological hazards that pose an equal, if not greater threat, to the general population.

Please contact your local EMA office for more information on the services and programs offered by the EMA.
